Tornate indietro di almeno 102 anni, e immaginate una grande sala, con intarsi di legno di noce alle pareti, camerieri in livrea e tavole lussuose, apparecchiate con tovaglie di lino bianche, candide, argenteria e centritavola lussuosi pieni di fiori freschi profumati...
Bene siete appena saliti sulla nave piu' grande del mondo, il Titanic, che purtroppo avra' vita breve, infatti un iceberg interromperà' la sua rotta verso New York, facendolo affondare inesorabilmente alle 2 e 20 della notte del 15 aprile 1912.
Visto che mi piace imbarcarmi in imprese folli, anche quest'anno ho replicato qualche piatto del menu' servito al ristorante di prima classe del mitico transatlantico.
Oramai e' diventata quasi una tradizione in casa, a parte l'anno scorso che avevo un sacco di sfighe di salute, si apparecchia la tavola tutta elegante, si scelgono buoni vini e si ritorna indietro di un secolo.
Come sempre le ricette le ho trovate sul libro: Last Dinner on the Titanic di Dana McCauley, che ha reinventato le ricette,oramai perdute, servite ai tavoli quella fatidica notte.
